I have to agree with a lot of people hear, GIMP can really suck sometimes. Whose idea was it to make changing your brush size so incredibly annoying (you have a certain number of default brushes, but to change the size you have to change the scale. Say I want a brush size of 124 Compared to Ps though, it is still lacking in many areas, but for average use it shouldn't be a big issue (or any at all). My big gripes about Gimp include: lack of Layer styles, lack of Adjustment layers, and (for the name of dear God) lack of the ability to mutli-select layers in the layers palette I had to use GIMP in a web design class ages ago and it made me want to cry and bash my head against things. I don't think the tools themselves are even that bad, it's just that the interface was apparently put together by a drunk parakeet with no eyes, so I had a hard time using it long enough to judge. I especially hate that it doesn't fucking have a container window GIMP does not give a hint towards the function of the app, and it's hard to market something that's either used as an insult or a sex reference. The biggest thing I'll give GIMP over photoshop is it crashes a lot less (I haven't had GIMP crash in the past 2 years)! I have creative cloud at work, and the thing is a resource hog and crashes more than I'd like. One of the other big things about GIMP is it doesn't have a persistent undo/action list I have recently upgraded gimp from 2.8.22 to 2.10 and the program runs very slow compared to my previous instalation. I uninstalled everything ( i even deleted all folders including the ones on appdata, etc), but the problem still persists. I tried reseting the settings but nothing GIMP wants you to hold onto the egg because you might want to smush it in your fingers or whisper a secret to it now. If you try to put it in the bowl, GIMP ignores that there's a 99% chance that the recipe doesn't call for eggshell bits, so your first attempt results in having to clean out the bowl and crack another egg. Then you realize you.
